Witch Hazel Dried Loose Leaves Herbal Tea ~ Hamamelis Virginiana

The dried Witch Hazel leaf tea ( Hamamelis virginiana ) is primarily known for its strong astringent properties, thanks to its high tannin content. Although it is most widely used externally, its decoction also has internal uses. 

Main Characteristics 

Taste: Astringent, slightly woody and "dry" in the mouth.

Aroma: Mild, reminiscent of dry grasses and forest.

Combinations: It is usually drunk with a little honey or mixed with green tea.

Preparation Method

Dosage: 1 teaspoon of dried leaves per cup.

Extraction: Pour boiling water over the leaves and leave covered for 10-15 minutes.

Use: You can drink it as a tea or let it cool to use as a toning lotion on the face or as a compress for irritations.
