Spirulina is a blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) that grows in both fresh and saltwater and is considered one of the most nutrient-rich superfoods in the world. It is used as a dietary supplement due to its high content of proteins, vitamins and antioxidants. 

Contains high levels of vegetable protein (60-70%), vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, C, E), iron, magnesium and essential fatty acids.

Ways to Incorporate into Your Diet

Powder: Can be added to smoothies, fruit juices (e.g. orange for better iron absorption due to vitamin C), yogurt, or even to sauces such as pesto.

Other uses: It is used as a natural food coloring and in cosmetics (facial masks, shampoos) for its antioxidant properties.

General use: Spirulina is commonly consumed in doses ranging in the low range of grams per day for nutritional support.

It is recommended to start with a small amount and gradually increase to monitor digestive tolerance.
