Pork gelatin powder is a pure protein produced from the collagen of pork tissues and is widely used as a thickening agent in cooking, confectionery, and also as a dietary supplement for joint health.
Key Features
Solubility: Dissolves in hot water (above 40°C), after first "blooming" in cold water for 5-10 minutes.
Nutritional Value: It is free of fat, carbohydrates and cholesterol, while it contains 18 amino acids, predominantly glycine and proline.
Uses
Cooking: For thickening creams (panna cotta), mousses, aspic and sauces.
Health: Add to smoothies or hot beverages to support skin elasticity and joint lubrication.
Pork gelatin is not suitable for people following religious diets (Halal/Kosher) or for vegetarians ( Agar-Agar is preferred there ).
