The Pink Rockrose ( Cistus incanus ), also known in Greece as Kistos or Ladania , is one of the most recognizable herbs of the Mediterranean, famous for the pale pink color of its flowers and its high content of polyphenols.

Preparation Instructions

To enjoy a balanced drink, follow these steps:

Dosage: Use 1-2 teaspoons (about 2-3g) of dried leaves per cup of water (200-250ml).

Temperature: Add hot water that has just started to boil (about 90°C ).

Extraction: Let it infuse for 5 to 10 minutes . If you want a more intense flavor, you can extend the time up to 15 minutes.

Serving: Drink hot or cold. You can add honey, stevia or lemon to balance its tartness. 

Storage Tips

Store it in airtight glass containers or metal cans to protect the aroma and its ingredients from oxidation.

Place it in a dark, cool and dry place , away from sunlight, moisture and strong odors (e.g. coffee or spices).

Avoid the refrigerator , as humidity can alter the quality of the leaves.
