It is handmade by monks on Mount Athos (such as at the Holy Monastery of Dochiariou and the Cell of the Holy Archangels), combining natural frankincense resin with fine aromatic gardenia oils.

Instructions for Use & Maintenance

To properly release the aromatic notes of gardenia:

Burning: Place 2-3 grains on a charcoal that has already "whitened" (covered in ash) for clean, smokeless burning.

Symbolism: Incense symbolizes prayer ascending to God and its use in the home conveys the blessing of Mount Athos.

Storage: Keep the product in a dry and shady place to ensure that the aromatic oils remain intact.
