Aromatic Profile & Characteristics

Jasmine Sambac: Unlike common jasmine, the Sambac variety offers a richer, creamier, and more sensual scent. It is often associated with relaxation and mood enhancement.

Frankincense: The base of natural frankincense ("teardrop" resin) imparts a deep, woody and balsamic note that "grounds" the sweet aroma of the flower.

Burning Quality: The incense is prepared so that it burns evenly and slowly , without leaving residue or creating a stifling atmosphere in the space.

Origin & Preparation

Mount Athos Tradition: This incense is prepared at the Holy Skete of Saint Anne (Hermitage of Saint Eleftherios) on Mount Athos.

Handmade Process: Monks use ancient methods, kneading the natural resin with selected aromatic oils until the desired intensity and texture is achieved.

To best enhance the aroma, it is recommended to use fast-igniting charcoal in a suitable incense burner, placing a small amount of incense after the charcoal has "digested" slightly.
