The Dried figs from Evia with PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) certification and no added sugar, are one of the top Greek "superfoods". They are produced mainly in two areas of Evia, Kymi and Taxiarchis , following traditional methods that have been preserved unchanged for centuries. 

The uniqueness of Evia figs is due to their special way of processing:

The "Askada": The figs are split in two before drying and, after drying naturally in the sun, they are joined together again in two, forming the traditional "askada".

Texture and Color: They have a particularly thin skin , a light golden or yellowish color, and fluffy, soft flesh .

Taste: Their sweetness is 100% natural , without any added sugars or preservatives (such as sulfur), highlighting aromas from local herbs and the Mediterranean soil.
