Dried Almond Flower Blossoms Loose Herbal Tea

Tea made from dried almond blossoms is a rare and refined drink, known for its sweet, floral profile and hints reminiscent of almond.

Taste Characteristics

Taste: It has a natural sweetness with hints of honey and a subtle, buttery feel that is sometimes reminiscent of artichoke or fresh nuts.

Aroma: Very intense and aromatic, with a distinct character of vanilla , almond (marzipan) and soft notes reminiscent of jasmine or lily.

Appearance: The extract is usually light in color and clear, while the flowers themselves retain their shape, making them ideal for decoration (garnish). 

Method of Preparation

Dosage: Use about 1 teaspoon (or 2-3 whole flowers) per cup.

Water Temperature: Prefer water at 80-90°C (not boiling) to avoid destroying the delicate aromas of the petals.

Extraction Time: Leave covered for 3 to 5 minutes . Flowers can often be reused for a 2nd or 3rd extraction.

Suggested Combinations

With Sweeteners: Honey or raw sugar enhance the natural honey notes of the flower.

With other Herbs: Goes great with orange peels and cinnamon.

As "Moon Milk": You can add it to warm almond milk along with a little vanilla for a relaxing bedtime drink.
