Color and Origin: Its characteristic brick-red color is due to the high iron oxide content of Alaea clay .

Taste: It has an earthy, rich, and slightly sweet flavor that is milder than regular table salt. Its aromatic notes are often reminiscent of roasted nuts.

Nutritional Value: It is rich in 80+ trace elements and minerals (such as magnesium and potassium) and contains less sodium per serving than common salt (about 81-84% sodium chloride versus 99%). 

Culinary use
