It is handmade by monks on Mount Athos (as in the Holy Cell of Saint Eleftherios of the Skete of Saint Anne), using traditional Athonite methods that combine natural frankincense resin with fine aromatic honeysuckle oils.

Burning: Light the charcoal and wait for it to "whiten" (be covered in ash) before placing the incense. Never place it on charcoal that has just been lit, as it will melt without releasing its aroma.

Storage: Store incense in an airtight glass container in a cool, shady place. Heat can damage it and make it sticky.
