Origin: France 

The Gymnema Sylvestre , known in Indian tradition as Gurmar or "Sugar Destroyer", is a climbing shrub of the rainforest that has been used for centuries to manage sugar. Its dried leaves are mainly used to make a tea that helps control cravings for sweets and support metabolism.

Method of Preparation & Use

To prepare tea from the dried leaves:

Proportion: Use 1-1.5 teaspoons (about 3g) of dried leaves for one cup of water.

Boiling: Add the leaves to boiling water and simmer for 5-10 minutes for a more intense flavor.

Extraction: Alternatively, leave the leaves in hot water for 5-7 minutes (infusion).
