Origin: Greece

The Greek lemon balm ( Melissa officinalis ) is a popular herb known for its lemony aroma and relaxing properties . In Greece, it is often collected from mountainous areas and used as a decoction to treat anxiety, insomnia, and digestive disorders. 

Preparation Instructions (Decoction)

Boil water (about 250ml).

Add 1-2 teaspoons of dried lemon balm leaves.

Let it infuse for 5-10 minutes (using a lid is recommended to preserve the essential oils).

Strain and enjoy, hot or cold.
