The decoction from dried cherry tails (stalks) ( Prunus cerasus ), also known in Greece as "kerassoures" , are a traditional drink with a delicate, fruity and woody aroma . Although they come from the cherry, their taste is mild, earthy and slightly astringent , without the intense sweetness of the fruit.

Aroma: Soothing and soft, which becomes more pronounced during boiling.

Preparation Instructions (Decoction)

Because the stems are hard, the decoction method is the most appropriate:

Dosage: Use approximately 8-10 tails (or 1 teaspoon) per cup.

Boiling: Add the tails to boiling water and simmer for 5-10 minutes .

Extraction: Leave the drink covered for another 10-15 minutes before straining it, so that the flavonoids and potassium salts are fully released.

Serving: It is enjoyable to drink both hot and cold.
