The Chinese Sencha ( Camellia sinensis ) is an extremely popular green tea that, although it follows the Japanese steaming method, is grown in China. It offers a fresh, herbaceous flavor with subtle notes of sweetness and less astringency than other types, making it ideal for everyday consumption.

Preparation Instructions

To avoid a bitter taste, proper extraction is critical:

Temperature: Use water at 75-85°C (do not let it boil completely or let it cool for 2 minutes after boiling).

Quantity: 1 teaspoon (about 2g) per cup.

Time: Leave it for 1-3 minutes . The longer it stays, the more intense and astringent its flavor becomes.

Store it in airtight glass containers, in a cool and dark place, to ensure its nutrients remain intact.
