The dried chasteberry ( Vitex agnus-castus ), is a fruit with a long tradition in Greek botany, dating back to the time of Hippocrates. The whole dried fruits have an appearance reminiscent of black peppercorns.

Taste: It has a distinctive peppery and slightly bitter taste, with aromatic notes reminiscent of sage.

Preparation Instructions (Decoction)

Crushing: For best results, lightly crush the nuts (e.g. in a mortar) before use.

Dosage: Use about 1 teaspoon of berries per cup.

Decoction: Add the fruits to water and simmer for 10-15 minutes .

Extraction: Let it "rest" for another 5-10 minutes before straining.
