The Cat's Claw ( Uncaria tomentosa ) is a tropical climbing plant native to the Amazon rainforest. The powder is produced from the inner bark of the plant, which is rich in active ingredients.

Herbal Tea Preparation

Bark powder requires light boiling (simmering) to release its components, as it is a hard material (bark):

Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of powder to 250ml of water.

Simmer (decoction) for 10-15 minutes .

Strain (if the powder is not fully soluble) and add lemon or honey to balance its slightly tart and earthy flavor.

Culinary & Other Uses

Smoothies: Due to its strong flavor, it can be added to smoothies with strong fruits (like the osmotic raspberries we saw) to cover the astringency.

Capsules: Many people prefer to fill empty capsules with the powder for easier consumption.
