The decoction from dried mistletoe leaves and roots ( Viscum album ), also known as mistletoe, is a traditional drink with a mild, earthy flavor reminiscent of dandelion tea. It is classified as a Dried Herbs and in Greece it is mainly collected from fir trees (in the south) or fruit trees (in the north).

Preparation Instructions
There are two main methods of preparation, with cold extraction often preferred to preserve certain ingredients:
Hot Infusion:
Add 1-2 teaspoons of dried herb to a cup of hot water (just before boiling).
Leave it covered for 7-15 minutes .
Strain and add honey or stevia if desired.
Cold Extraction (Maceration):
Add 1 tablespoon (about 3-5g) to 250ml of cold water.
Let it soak for 12 hours (e.g. overnight) at room temperature.
Strain and consume it in the morning, slightly warm or at room temperature.
