Origin:Germany

The Lovage comes from the plant Levisticum officinale . It is an herb with a very distinctive, strong aroma that is strongly reminiscent of celery , but with a sweeter and spicier flavor (something between celery and parsley with hints of anise). 

Ways to Use (Dried Cut Leaf)

As a Tea: Add 1-2 teaspoons of dried leaves to hot water and let steep for 5-10 minutes. It has a very "juicy" and hearty flavor.

In Cooking: Due to its intense flavor, dried lovage is excellent in:

Soups and broths (works as a natural flavor enhancer like "Maggi").

Potato salads and dishes with legumes.

Sauces for meat or poultry.
